Free Comic Book Day

May 6

Pick up a comic book. Free! It’s an International Event that celebrates comic books and the local comic shops that provide them to their communities.

St. Catharines Public Library
Join us between 2:30-3:30pm at the Central Library, Mills Room, to play some video games, design and create a button and receive a free comic book. Comic books are generously donated by Mostly Comics. Registration in advance is mandatory (contact 905-688-6103 ext 227). Ages 8-14, Free.

Niagara Folk Arts Festival – Opening Ceremonies

This festival is a beautiful blend of the cultures and people that make Canada a nation to be envied. During the festival the multicultural community opens its doors and its hearts and welcomes you to experience the beauty and uniqueness of their cultures, traditions, art, music and food. There are dances, exhibitions, live entertainment and more.

Opening Ceremonies – May 6 2017 at 11 am

Join the Procession of Festival Ambassadors and friends as it winds its way from the Folk Arts Multicultural Centre to Market Square in Downtown St. Catharines. Amidst traditional colourful costumes and swirling flags join us as we kick off the Niagara Folk Arts Festival in style!

Energy Grand Opening!

Energy Gymnastics, 333 Ontario St., St. Catharines

Gymnastics Energy invites you to visit their new over 20,000 sq ft facility at 333 Ontario St, St Catharines (near SkyZone, behind the Tim Hortons). Whether you are a current member, a former member or you may have an aspiring gymnast in your house, we would love to see you! You’ll have an opportunity to tour our new home and talk to the coaches about the different class offerings. Kids will also have a chance to try out some of the activities at stations supervised by our certified coaches. Our parent volunteers will also be hosting a BBQ lunch to help us fundraise for new equipment. Please consider joining us on Saturday, May 6th and feel free to invite any friends you feel might be interested in attending. We hope to see you there!
