Free New Year’s Eve Show in Niagara Falls

One of Canada’s longest running New Year’s Eve celebrations returns to kick off 2019 in Queen Victoria Park in Niagara Falls. This year’s line up will feature Burton Cummings, Walk Off the Earth, The Sheepdogs, and Avenue Inn.

The free outdoor event will have two explosive fireworks shows, one a 9 pm and one at midnight.



Children’s New Year’s Eve Bash in Welland

Celebrate the New Year with the family at the Welland Community Wellness Complex and the Welland Main Arena. There are plenty of activities at both locations and fireworks along the canal at 5:50pm. Donations of non-perishable food items are appreciated.

At the Welland Community Wellness Complex:

  • Bubble Party with Characters
  • 9 Hole Mini Putt Golf Course: Fore! Complete with 9 separate holes, different obstacles and ramps, and even a loop-de-loop. Imagine yourself playing Augusta while trying this fun course.

St. Catharines New Year’s Eve Family Celebration

Ring in the New Year with your family with these FREE activities:

Family Skate

12 noon – 2 p.m.

Meridian Centre, 1 Ice Dogs Way, St. Catharines

Say farewell to 2018 by joining in the free rock ‘n New Year’s fun skate.

Free children’s activities take place on the concourse level and include:

Grimsby New Year’s Eve Celebrations

December 31, 2:30pm – 6pm

Peach King Centre, 162 Livingston Avenue

Enjoy free indoor skating at the Peach King Centre, sponsored by Tim Hortons, as well as outdoor skating, children’s activities and snacks.


New Year’s Eve at the Americana Waterpark

8444 Lundy’s Ln, Niagara Falls

Fun activities all day in the waterpark! Kiddie countdown with balloon drop in the waterpark at 9pm. Towel toss to ring in the new year. Extended waterpark hours until 10pm. Waterpark kids activities every 30 minutes from 11am until 9pm. Glow in the dark arcade from 10:30 to 11:30.

Boston Pizza New Year’s Eve:
Three balloon drops at 6pm, 7pm, and 8pm.
Kids events throughout the day.
Character appearances and so much more!


Free New Year’s Eve Skating at the Thorold Arena

On Monday, December 31, there will be free skating at the Thorold Arena from 10:30am – 1pm


New Year’s Eve Ice Dogs Game

Monday, December 31st vs. Ottawa, 6pm

Ring in the new year with the IceDogs.  Bring your skates with you and skate with the IceDogs players following the end of the game.

New Years Eve at Lock St. Brewing Co.

Here are some of the deets:
The brewery will be open regular hours, but they’ll be celebrating NYE from 4pm-9pm (last drinks served at 8pm).
Adults: $20.00/pp – Includes Warm Pretzel and 1 Drink (beer, wine, or seasonal drinks – Hot Toddie, Mulled Wine)
Kids: $10.00/pp – Includes: Unlimited Hot Chocolate, Smores, Food Item from KaiserHaus

There will be a fire burnin’ in the Biergarten for warmth and smores making. Oh, and there will be Funnel Cakes too!

Join Parks Canada and the Friends of Fort George as we ring in the New Year at Navy Hall! Levee celebrations start at 3 pm, and include toasts, music by the 41st Regiment Fife and Drum Corps, and a cannon firing to welcome the New Year!
