Looking for fun things to do to keep your family busy this month? We've got you covered! Here is our list of 10 free things to do in March in Niagara:
1 - Try out Adventure Running Kids for free before the Spring season starts with the ARK Try Out Day. Try out some typical ARK exercises and meet the program leaders on March 5 at 10:00 am - 11:00 am, at Burgoyne Woods Park.
2 - Go skating at the Jack Ballantyne Memorial Arena in Welland for their free skates over the March Break. From Monday, March 13 – Friday, March 17, at 1:00-2:30pm, enjoy free admission!
3 - Bring the whole family out for a night of stargazing at Heartland Forest on March 11 at 6-11pm. Members of the RASC Niagara Centre will have their telescopes set up for you to observe the many wonders of the night sky. You will be able to observe the Moon, The Planets Saturn, Mars and Venus, as well as Nebulae, Open Clusters of Stars, Globular Clusters of Stars and many more Celestial Wonders.
4 - Stretch, play, and have fun with your family at a Family Yoga Class at the Niagara Falls History Museum, March 16 at 7pm. It will include fun interactive yoga games as an opportunity for bonding while sharing the health and well-being that yoga brings. Everyone is welcome!
5 - Drop in for fun crafts and activities at your own pace. at the Crafternoons program at the St. Catharines Library - Port Dalhousie Branch on Saturday, March 4 and 18, at 1- 3:30pm. The materials are provided and you can let your creativity run wild! Parents or older siblings may need to help younger children with activities. Contact 905-688-6103 ext 500 for more details.
6 - Take a FREE sugar bush tour to see how maple syrup is produced at Agape Valley Sugar Bush. They are open Saturdays in March (4, 11, 18, 25) and March break (13-17) from 8:30-3:30.
7 - Listen to a story at Chapters St. Catharines Storytime every Tuesday and Saturday at 11am.
8 - Meet Chase, Skye & Marshall from Paw Patrol at the Paw Patrol Mom 2 Mom Sale! Take your picture with them. There will be FREE Face Painting too! Admission is free. Takes place on March 25 at 9am-12pm at Beacon Christian School.
9 - Have your child learn as they get creative with the S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, art and math) program at the Thorold Public Library, Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m. once per month. There is no fee to participate in this program. Please register in advance. March challenge: Bird House Building. Please contact the library for more information.
