Niagara Kayak
Niagara Kayak is a locally owned and operated kayak rental business in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Niagara Kayak operates from sunrise to sunset, 7 days a week, from late May through the end of October.
Niagara Kayak staff meet you at the launch site of your choice and provide you with everything you need including a tutorial on safety and basic kayaking instructions. Then they pick you up down river.
Launch from NOTL: ($60/2hrs for a single kayak; $95/2hrs for a tandem)
Launch from Queenston Heights: ($90/2.5hrs for a single kayak; $150/2.5hrs for a tandem)
Paddle Niagara
Paddle Niagara is a stand-up paddleboard rental, lessons and sales business. They launch from Queens Royal Park at the corner of King Street and Front Street in Niagara-on-the-Lake. $35/hour rental rate, each additional hour is $10.
Paddle Niagara offer kids’ lessons and camps as well. They teach kids the proper paddle techniques in a fun and safe environment. 6 children max per session (ages 8-12).
Niagara Rowing School
Niagara Rowing School rents out kayaks, canoes or stand-up paddleboards in the Jordan Harbour.
Kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddleboards are available daily by reservation from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Kayak Rentals: Single is $35 for 2 hours and $15 for each additional hour. Double is $45 for 2 hours and $20 for each additional hour or part.
Stand-Up Paddleboard Rentals (SUP): $35 for 2 hours and $15 for each additional hour.
Canoe Rentals: $45 for 2 hours and $20 for each additional hour. Maximum 3 people per canoe.
It is highly recommended that you phone ahead or e-mail to reserve the boats and boards in advance to ensure availability and staff availability during certain weather conditions. All boat/board rentals include paddles and a mandatory PFD.
Safari Niagara Paddle Boat Rentals
Safari Niagara’s paddle boats are a free feature with paid park admission. The paddle boat pond opens one hour after the park opens and closes one hour before the park closes.
Paddle Boats are open weekends only during our off-season (May 13-31, Sept 4 – Oct 8) and open daily during our in-season (June 1 – Sept 3). It is open weather permitting.
City of Welland Boat Rental Program
Closed this season due to COVID-19.
The Welland Boat Rental Program operates Victoria Day weekend to Labour Day weekend, offering paddle boats, recreational canoes and kayaks as well as stand-up paddleboards (SUP).
Hours of Operation:
- May & September - weekends only- open at 11am, last rental time is 5pm
- June, July & August - weekends - open at 10am, last rental time is 6pm
- July & August - weekdays - open at 11am, last rental time is 7pm
Costs:
- Kayaks & Pedal Boats - $12/hour, $5 each additional 30 minutes
- Tandem Kayaks, Canoes, Stand Up Paddle Boards - $18/hour, $9 each additional 30 minutes
- Minimum rental is 1 hour
- Welland Boat Rental Program Econo-Pass - 15 punches
- Accept cash, debit, Visa and MasterCard
Renters 12 & under are free (one boat for one hour per day)
Renters 15 & under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian
