Coronavirus in Niagara: Risk to Niagara Residents is Low
If you’ve travelled to any of the affected areas, avoid contact with others and call the COVID-19 Info-Line, 905-688-8248 ext. 7330 or toll-free: 1-888-505-6074.
If you have travelled to any of the impacted areas listed on the Government of Canada’s COVID-19 active travel health notices within 14 days and have recently developed respiratory symptoms, avoid contact with others and contact your health care professional immediately.
Call ahead to allow health care staff to take appropriate precautions.
Refer to Public Health Ontario for the number of COVID-19 cases in Ontario.

- New cough
- Shortness of breath and difficulty breathing
Prevention of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)
To prevent the spread of infectious diseases and to keep healthy, follow these simple steps:
Stay home if you’re sick
Return to work or school when you’re well.
Wash your hands often
Use soap and water or hand sanitize. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
Cover your cough or sneeze
With a tissue or into your sleeve.
Keep your distance
Avoid shaking hands and close contact with people who are sick.
Avoid sharing personal items
Especially those that come into contact with saliva, such as toothbrushes and eating utensils.
Clean and disinfect
Clean and disinfect high touch surfaces regularly. Use a disinfectant and follow manufacturer’s instructions.
If you’re planning to travel, you should consult the Government of Canada COVID-19 active travel health notices. Canadians should always tell their health care providers about their travel if they become ill after returning to Canada.
