Cutting your own Christmas tree is a great family activity and tradition! Here is a list of cut-your-own tree farms in Niagara!
Smiths’ Christmas Trees has a selection of Balsam Fir, Colorado Blue Spruce, and Meyer Spruce. Cash only. Opening day is Saturday, November 21. Open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only, until Dec. 20. The price is $40 for any size or variety of tree, and “Pete’s Premium Christmas Trees” will be available for sale for $80.
Covid update: We have put protocols in place to protect our customers and staff. We will unfortunately not be able to provide hot cider and cookies this year, and toys will not be available for the children. The garage and washroom will also be closed off. We will accept cash but would appreciate exact change so we can reduce the amount of cash that we have to handle. We are also hoping (stay tuned) to be able to accept debit card payment this year! Please bring your own saw with you, as we will have a limited amount available to borrow and will be disinfecting them between use. Our staff will be wearing masks, and we ask that you do the same when interacting with us. When you are here please maintain an appropriate distance (2 metres) from other guests and please do not visit our farm if you are feeling unwell.
Twinkle Trees has a selection of Scotch and Spruce Trees ready to choose and cut. Cash only. They will be open December 5/6 and 12/13, 9am-4pm. Would you like a ‘fresh cut’ well-shaped Christmas tree but prefer not to go out and cut it down yourself? Just call ahead and they will have one waiting for you – cut the same day – at the entrance gate. Just call ahead the day before, specify if you’d like Pine or Spruce, and leave a non-refundable deposit of $50 and pay the balance (of $50) when you pick up your tree! You’re ‘in and out’ in ten minutes! (All curbside pick-up trees are $100 tax included.)
