Summer Reading Clubs

Do you want your child to keep up with their reading over the summer and have fun while doing it? The TD Summer Reading Club is a free reading club offered throughout Canadian libraries to kids of all ages and abilities.

Grimsby Public Library

Junior Summer Reading Club

July 3 – August 25

Drop-in to win a prize!
This program is for kids ages 2 – 6.
Pick up an activity booklet at the GPL, or print one off the website. It’s takes just a few minutes per visit for kids to share a maximum of 2 titles, get a small prize for each book, and enter a ticket in our weekly raffle. Kids are happy there’s a fun, drop-in activity where they’ll see friends, share great books, and win great prizes!
DROP-IN HOURS:
MONDAY – SATURDAY: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PMTUESDAY & THURSDAY NIGHTS: 6:00 – 7:30 PM
Kids listen to stories at home & complete an activity page in the Preschool Summer Reading Booklet for each story they hear. Kids get a small prize and a raffle ballot for every page shared with Library staff.
Finish 10 activity pages and get a certificate & a Dairy Queen coupon. Yum!
Each page of the booklet emphasizes a different concept, such as: letters, shapes, or patterns. Pages can be completed and shown to staff in any order. Since we want you to visit often during the summer, kids can present a maximum of 2 pages per visit.

TD Summer Reading Club

July 3 n- August 25

This fun, interactive program is for kids ages 6 – 12.
Participants share a maximum of 2 titles per visit, get a small prize
for each book, and enter tickets in our weekly raffle.
While participating, kids can:
♥ Read books at their own level.
♥ Report on up to 5 non-fiction books
♥ Report on a maximum of 2 graphic novels
♥ Report on up to 3 bonus books (which can be juvenile or YP books that are more than 150 pages, that is not a graphic novel). Each counts as 2 regular titles.
It takes just a few minutes per visit for kids to share a maximum of 2 titles, get a small prize for each book, and enter a ticket in our weekly raffle. Kids are happy there’s a fun, drop-in activity where they’ll see friends, share great books, and discover cool databases!

Lincoln Public Library

TD Summer Reading Club 
The TD SRC is free for children ages 2 to 12. The Club is for children of all abilities. Pre-readers and children with print disabilities receive their own version of the notebook. This summer earn buttons for every book you read to personalize your own book bag! Read and report on ten books by August 13 and you will also receive an invitation to the final party!
Registration and book reporting start on Tuesday, July 3. You can report on your first two books when you register!

Summer Reading Clubs for those ages 13 and up (no upper age limit!)
How the Clubs work:
1. Beginning Tuesday July 3, register at either LPL branch and receive a log
book and book bag.
2. Keep track of the number of hours you read. Every two hours earns you a
button (teens) or charm (adults).
3. Bring your log book to the branch where you registered to get your
rewards.
4. Once you have completed a book, fill out a ballot to win an additional prize
in our end-of-summer draw. Entries close on Monday August 13.

We Love Buttons Event!
Friday, July 6, MFR Branch, Vineland
Drop in 2:30 to 4 pm
Saturday, July 7, Fleming Branch, Beamsville
Drop in 10:30 am to noon or 2:30 to 4 pm
Start your TD SRC collection off right! Drop in to make your own buttons. Bring any pictures you would like to make into a button (maximum three buttons each). Free.

Every child who reads and reports on ten books at either LPL branch by August 13 earns an invitation to come to our TD SRC

Pelham Public Library

TD Summer Reading Club Kick-Off

Join us Saturday the 23rd and sign up for the Summer Reading Club – last year we had over 300 members, let’s try and beat it. For early registration on this day you will be entered into a draw for 2 free passes to Bissell’s Hideaway.

Please NOTE: No on-line registration for summer reading club.
If you are unable to attend the kick-off day don’t worry you can sign up any time after the 23rd  at either branch.

TD Summer Reading Club – (all ages)
Sign up anytime starting June 23rd . Get a sticker on our Wall of Fame for every book read (age appropriate of course).  Come in and report on the books you’ve read starting July 6th and receive your first reading incentive and ballot.
Reporting days – July 4, 11, 18, 25, Aug 1, 8
PANCAKE CELEBRATION DAY will happen on Friday, Aug 17th starting @ 11 am
Participants will get a free pancakes and a drink.

TD Summer Reading Club

Join the free TD Summer Reading Club, Canada’s biggest, bilingual summer reading program for kids of all ages, all interests, and all abilities.
It’s easy!  You can borrow a book from the Library, read a magazine or newspaper with a friend, read a recipe to create something delicious, and yes, graphic novels or comic books count as reading material.  Read at home, online, on the road or wherever your summer takes you.
You can join by registering at the Welland Public Library, starting Monday, June 27.  Joining the club means getting a chance to win fun prizes every week throughout the summer.

Take the challenge! Complete challenges about reading, wellness, community service, and more for the chance to win awesome prizes. Register online and pick up your passport at the library. Come to the library to get your passport stamped during check-in times all summer.
